Supported scenarios

These scenarios are supported for the import and export of application configuration data:

Import or export from single company to single company
Single company import or export from and to multicompany environments.

A single company export from a multi-company environment is supported, provided that the configuration-data company mapping includes all companies of the source and target environments, not just the companies involved in the individual export run.
Multicompany import or export from and to multicompany environments

Import and export using the Cloud Suite Portal

The Organization concept in the Cloud Suite Portal relates to an LN company. From the Cloud Suite Portal user interface, only one organization can be addressed at a time.

Therefore, the companies of a multi-company environment must be exported from the source and imported into the destination environment one by one.

The first company to be exported is the so-called master company, which is the physical company of the shared data. You cannot use the destination environment until all companies are imported in the destination environment.

Import or export specific data

In addition to predefined sets of configuration data, you can define export definitions, configuration objects, and configuration object sets to import or export limited sets of specific data. For details, please contact your LN consultant.
