Homepages and widgets

Context Selection widget

With this banner widget, you can now specify the context selection for widgets on preconfigured homepages within the warehousing domain.

Current Inventory Value widget

The new Current Inventory Value widget shows the current inventory value for a particular warehouse at the time the role-based home page is started.

It can be displayed as a banner widget in the form of a pie chart, which is divided according to the ABC classification of items.

Days of Inventory widget

The new Days of Inventory widget provides quick insight into the number of days for which the current inventory levels are sufficient. This can be for specific items in a warehouse, or for several or all items and warehouses of a particular site or company.

This widget indicates how long the inventory quantities of an item in a warehouse will last and when the inventory will run out. As a starting point for the calculation, the widget uses the current (actual) inventory levels of items within a warehouse, and compares these levels with the planned outbound transactions already registered for these item-warehouse combinations.

This comparison results in the period, expressed in days, that the item inventory is sufficient to meet the planned demand. In fact, the days of inventory is the period between now and the date when the economic inventory turns negative.

Excess Inventory widget

This new widget shows which item inventory can be classified as excess for a past period, or as expected excess for a period in the near future. It provides information about which items are structurally overstocked, become obsolete, or have a declining demand.

The widget primarily indicates for which items demand was significantly below the available inventory levels, over a period of time. It can be used for a period in the past, or for the near future with the aim of making corrections, for example, by reducing the supply.

Expected Inventory Supply widget

This new widget provides quick insight into the expected inventory supply for a user-defined period in the future. It shows the expected receipt quantities for specific, or all items and warehouses that belong to a site or company.

The widget uses the planned inventory inbound transactions that originate from orders, such as purchase orders, production orders, warehouse transfers, and service orders. Additionally, it detects and shows the expected receipts with a planned date and time in the past, which means that the expected and promised delivery date was not met.

Inventory Manager homepage

The new Inventory Manager homepage is a preconfigured homepage for the inventory manager role. It includes banner widgets that show the current inventory value and storage capacity utilization. Additionally, a range of regular widgets can be added.

On this homepage, an inventory manager can view all kinds of inventory information for a specific warehouse.

Project Progress widget

The Project Progress (LN Project) widget, which is used to graphically display information about the execution progress of project activities, activity hours, and activity budgets has been extended.

Options have been added to go to the Activities (tppss2100m000) session and change the used currency.

Sales Manager homepage

Multiple usability improvements have been made to the Sales Manager role-based homepage. All other role-based homepages also adopt these standards.

These improvements have been made:

  • Widget name proposals.
  • Replacement of the information icon with a text link to view the selection details.
  • Humanization of data. Large numbers are rounded to thousands or millions. Moving the mouse over the value displays the detailed values.
  • Revised and brighter colors.
  • Relocation of the widgets on the page.
  • Replacement of the context selection with a Context Selection widget to avoid popups. By clicking on the Lookup button in the widget, the collection list is shown in a modal for context selection.
  • Display of proper error messages for all widgets if no data can be displayed.

For the Customer Contact widget as part of the homepage, the contact noted as primary is identified first in the accordion space. Any other contacts are shown in a modal. If no contact is identified as primary, then the first contact is shown in the accordion space. All other contacts are shown in a modal.

For the Bids widget, you can drill down to LN CE and drill back from the main list screen. You can click on the list to open a dialog that shows the details. The widget has a single width.

For the Net Sales Invoiced and Average Order Value widgets, the calendar icon for period has been replaced to display the time period that the user selected.

Storage Capacity and Utilization widget

The new Storage Capacity Utilization widget shows the total storage-location capacity of a warehouse and the occupancy of the locations. It can be shown as a banner widget in the form of a column graph. The total storage capacity of a warehouse is calculated by adding together the capacities of each pick and bulk location of a location-controlled warehouse.

Locations with infinite capacity are omitted, because these locations have no capacity constraints.
