Item Attribute Set Blocking (whwmd6132m000)

Use this session toblock or unblock stock points by attribute set. You can also block individual tags.

Note: 

This session is only available for Product Dimensions-controlled items.

To block a stock point by attribute set, complete these steps:

  1. On the toolbar of the session, click New View.
  2. Specify a warehouse, location (optional), item, and attribute set.
  3. On the toolbar of the session, click New.
  4. In the Item Attribute Set Blocking (whwmd6632m000) detail session, specify a blocking reason.
  5. Complete either of these steps:

    • To fully block the stock point by attribute set, select the Fully Blocked check box.

      Consequently, after saving the record all tags of the stock point are displayed in the Tag Blocking tab.

    • To block one or more tags related to the stock point by attribute set, click Generate.

      Consequently, the related tags without a blocked quantity are displayed in the Tag Blocking tab.

      Complete either of these steps:
      • To fully block a tag, in the Tag Blocking tab, select the Fully Blocked check box.
      • To partially block a tag, specify the blocked quantity.
  6. Save and close the session.

Block by Quality

If you create a storage inspection in Quality, LN automatically blocks the stock point or quantity to be inspected. As a result, a record is created in the current session for which the following applies:

  • The Created by QM check box is selected.
  • The Reason for Blocking is the Reason for Storage Inspection as specified in the Warehouse Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session.
  • You cannot manually unblock the stock point by deleting the record. LN unblocks the stock point when the storage inspection is closed.
