The Rental Quotes functionality enables you to provide clear terms on the rental equipment and products, the rental period, and the costs before creating a rental order. You can create a rental quote for a sold-to business partner in the Rental Quote (tsepp1600m300) session, detailing terms such as the effective date of the quote, planned on and off hire dates, proposal method, rental rates, and invoicing details.
You can create rental quote agreements for a rental quote in the Rental Quote Agreements (tsepp1110m300) session to specify rentable serialized items. You can also specify a rental template for a rental quote agreement, based on which rental quote cost lines are created in the Rental Quote Cost Lines (tsepp1120m300) session. To conduct any planned non-rental maintenance activities, you can create activity lines in the Quote Line (tsepp1610m200) session. After a rental quote is accepted, you can process it into a rental order.
You can generate a rental quote for a call with the sold-to business partner. To transfer a call to a rental quote, you can select the > option from the menu in the Call (tsclm1100m000) session. The status of the call is set to Transferred after the quote is created. However, you can rent out only the items of the type, Rental Product using the rental quotes generated from a service call.
You can also generate a rental quote for an equipment rental request using the option from the menu in the Equipment Rental Request (tssoc5645m000) session.
