Handling quarantine dispositions and inventory tracking data

When you split a disposition line and specify different dispositions, you must manually update the corresponding quarantine ITU receipts if the quarantined inventory involved has more than one country of origin. See Quarantine dispositions and inventory tracking for a general overview.

This topic provides step-by-step instructions for manually updating a disposition to the receipt detail lines of a quarantine ITU receipt. Updating dispositions to a quarantine ITU receipt entails specifying dispositions and disposition quantities for each country of origin.

Prerequisite: Split a disposition line and specify a disposition for the original disposition line and the split-off disposition line.

To specify dispositions and disposition quantities by country of origin in the receipt detail lines of a quarantine ITU receipt:

  1. In the Quarantine Inventory Disposition (whwmd2172m000) session or the lines section of the Quarantine Inventory (whwmd2671m000) session, select a disposition line.
  2. On the References menu, click Country of Origin.
  3. In the Quarantine Inventory (tcitu1120m000) session, click Details.

  4. In the Details tab of the Quarantine Inventory (tcitu1620m000) session, select an ITU receipt detail line.

    An ITU receipt detail line is present for each country of origin of the quarantine inventory of the current disposition line. For example, if the countries of origin are UK and USA, two receipt detail lines are present.

  5. Select a disposition in the Disposition field.

    Note: 

    The disposition specified for the receipt ITU detail line must match the disposition specified in the Quarantine Inventory Disposition (whwmd2172m000) session or the lines section of the Quarantine Inventory (whwmd2671m000) session.

    Otherwise, the message: “Cannot process the quarantine inventory; the Disposition Quantity in Inventory Tracking Receipt Details does not match” is displayed.

    This is because data specified in the Quarantine Inventory (tcitu1620m000) session is not updated to the Quarantine Inventory Disposition (whwmd2172m000) or the lines section of the Quarantine Inventory (whwmd2671m000)session.

  6. Specify the disposition quantity in the Disposition Quantity field.

    Note: 

    If the specified disposition quantity is lower than the total item quantity of the quarantine ITU receipt detail line, a new receipt detail line for the remaining item quantity is created for same Q-ITU receipt. This detail line has disposition statusAwaiting Disposition.

    This allows you to specify more than one disposition for the same country of origin.

  7. Repeat the previous two steps to specify dispositions and disposition quantities in the remaining quarantine receipt detail lines.

  8. Save and close the Quarantine Inventory (tcitu1620m000) session.
