Change tax data after delivery

You can modify the tax and registration data even after goods have been delivered or shipments have been confirmed. This helps you when tax-relevant details are updated late in the sales flow. It outlines the functional changes across Order Management, Warehousing, Taxation, Invoicing, and Project, including adding tax data to the delivery or invoice lines, and synchronizing the data with billable lines. The relevant changes are updated Intrastat records.

Tax data is maintained for sales delivery lines and invoice lines, which can be modified post-delivery of goods. Any modification done to the tax data on the delivery or invoice lines is synchronized automatically with billable lines.

Tax information can be modified in these sessions, after delivery. However, the tax data must be modified before the billable lines are composed.

  • Sales Order Change Request Actual Delivery Lines (tdsls4106m300)
  • Change Tax of Sales Schedule Invoice Lines (tdsls3140m300)

Updates order balance:

Order balance is recalculated if applicable, when tax information changes, ensuring financial accuracy.

Warehousing Order:

The Ship-to address can be changed to a different country, triggering required tax and Intrastat updates. The updated ship-to values can default to delivery and shipment lines.

Installment Plans:

You can change tax information when:

  • The Apply Tax to Installments check box is cleared in the Installments (cisli8620m000) session.
  • The installment method is Manual, and there are no installments created yet for the order line.

Tax on a Separate Invoice:

Sometimes tax must be issued on a separate invoice. When tax information is modified, this may affect whether separate tax invoice is required.
