Data display settings

The settings for the format in which the data is displayed:

  • Display format for code and description: Select the option to determine the display format for the code and the description for an entity from . Examples: warehouses, labor types, etc. It is possible to display only the code, only the description or the code and the description.
  • Separator for code and description: A delimiter used to separate the code and the description display for an entity.
  • Display format for item code and description: This is an optional setting if the display format of the item code and item description must differ from the display format of other entities.
  • Show addresses in business partner selection screen: If this setting is enabled the business partner addresses are displayed in the business partner selection screen. This makes it easier to select the right business partner when there are business partners with the same name. It makes it also possible to search and filter business partners based on address (parts).
    Note: This functionality is available for Mobile Service integrating with 10.6 and higher versions as well as with CE (as of 2024.10).

    When you enable this setting, business partner addresses that are not yet available in the app, are downloaded from during the next synchronization.

  • Step size for quantity changes: If this field is filled with a value, this quantity is used to increase and decrease the value of quantity fields throughout the app using the plus and minus buttons. If the field is left empty or has a value of zero and a rounding factor is defined in for the unit applying to the particular field, the rounding factor is used. When rounding factor is not defined, a default value of 0.01 is used.
    Note: This functionality is available for the Mobile Service integration with 10.6 or higher and CE.
  • Step size for duration changes: If this field is filled with a value, this value in minutes is used to increase and decrease the value of duration fields throughout the app using the plus and minus buttons. If the field is left empty or has a value of zero, a default value of 15 minutes is used.
    Note: This functionality is available for the Mobile Service integration with 10.6 or higher and CE.
  • Enable item code scanning: If this setting is enabled, barcode and QR code scanning functionality is available for every item field. This allows the device camera to be used to scan the barcode or QR code of an item.
  • Enable serial number scanning: If this setting is enabled, bar code and QR code scanning functionality is available for every serialized item field. This allows the device camera to be used to scan the barcode or QR code of a serialized item.
  • Enable search term scanning: When this setting is enabled, barcode and QR code scanning functionality is available for search fields throughout the app. This allows the device camera to be used to scan a barcode or QR code containing a search term (for example an item code, serial number, or any text). The search field is filled with the data of the barcode or QR code after scanning the search term.
  • Visit screen tab: This allows to set the tab that is displayed when opening the Visit screen. This can be a fixed tab or the tab that was last visited. This setting is only available when Mobile Service integrates with LN CE.
  • Activity screen tab: This allows to set the tab that is displayed when opening the Activity screen. This can be a fixed tab or the tab that was last visited. This setting is only available when Mobile Service integrates with LN CE.
  • Inventory screen tab: This allows to set the tab that is displayed when opening the Inventory screen. This can be a fixed tab or the tab that was last visited. This setting is only available when Mobile Service integrates with LN CE and the Show Item Inventory option must be selected in the Service User Templates (tsmdm1660m000) session.
  • Ordered Materials screen tab: This allows to set the tab that is displayed when opening the Ordered Materials screen. This can be a fixed tab or the tab that was last visited. This setting is only available when Mobile Service integrates with LN CE and the Show Ordered Materials option must be selected in the Service User Templates (tsmdm1660m000) session.
  • Serial History screen tab: This allows to set the tab that is displayed when opening the Serial History screen. This can be a fixed tab or the tab that was last visited. This setting is only available when Mobile Service integrates with LN CE and the Show Serial History option must be selected in the Service User Templates (tsmdm1660m000) session.
  • Installations screen tab: This allows to set the tab that is displayed when opening the Installations screen. This can be a fixed tab or the tab that was last visited. This setting is only available when Mobile Service integrates with LN CE and the Show Installations option must be selected in the Service User Templates (tsmdm1660m000) session.
  • Use User Language: If this setting is set to Yes, the language as defined for the user in is used as the application language. If you want to use other language, this setting must be set to No.
  • Application Language: The language in which the application is displayed. If you change the application language, it is applicable only after you restart the application. This field is enabled only if Use User Language is set to No.
  • Data language used by application: The language in which the data of the application is displayed, for example the item descriptions or activity descriptions. This field is only enabled if the Use User Language field is set to No.
    Note: This functionality is available for the Mobile Service integration with 10.6 and higher versions as well as CE (as of 2023.10).
  • Time zone setting: This setting indicates how Mobile Service determines which time zone to use when you enter hours or when displaying hours. One of the following values can be set:
    • Device time zone: This is the default value. If this value is selected the time zone of the device is used when entering hours, or to display hours. Note that the time zone of the device may change when traveling between time zones. Also note that the device time zone is an IANA time zone and not an LN time zone code.
    • LN user time zone: If this value is selected the LN user time zone is used when entering hours, or to display hours. The LN user time zone can be set in the User Data Template (ttams1110m000) session. Note that the LN user time zone is an IANA time zone and not an LN time zone code.
    • Manual time zone: If this value is selected you can set the time zone code manually in Mobile Service. The time zone code can be set via the Time Zone option in the top bar (Windows) or via the Hamburger menu (Android/iOS).
    Note: This setting is only available for Mobile Service integrating with LN CE.
  • Show time zone and time: If this setting is set to Yes the current time zone (code) and time is displayed in the top bar (Windows) or at the top of every screen in which times are displayed (Android/iOS). In the latter case a Time Zone icon can be tapped to view the time zone (code) and time.
    Note: This setting is only available for Mobile Service integrating with LN CE.
  • Show time zones for hours accounting: If this setting is set to Yes two time zone code fields are displayed when entering or viewing hours for tasks or travel time. You can enter the time zone codes for the start time and for the finish time of the task or travel time.
    Note: When entering a new task or a new travel line and the Time zone setting has the Manual time zone value the time zone code fields are defaulted with the manually set time zone code. If the Time zone setting has the Device time zone value or LN user time zone value the time zone code fields are empty by default. Respectively the Device time zone and LN user time zone values are used to register the task or travel time hours when leaving the time zone code fields empty. This setting is only available for Mobile Service integrating with LN CE.
  • Map Provider: This setting can be used to set which map provider mobile service must use. This setting is for the Windows version of the app only. The current options are Windows Maps and Open Street Map.
