Application Update Settings (ttmtm4501m000)

Use this session to configure an update policy to automatically update or manually update the Application of the tenants.

The Automatic Latest and Automatic Latest -1 options are only applicable in case the actual version (package combination) of a tenant is a “ce” release (such as ce01023). Pre-“ce” releases must always be updated manually.

The update setting is only applicable for Application updates. The environment is always updated with the latest Tools version after invoked by the landlord.

Field Information

Update Policy
The update policy can manually or automatically update the Application of the tenants. You can select one of these options:
  • Manual : This means a tenant administrator updates the Application manually. The manual update procedure as implemented by the Install Upgrades and Patches (ttmtm3500m000) session is described in the tenant administration guide. Be aware that the environment is always updated to the actual Latest -1 release despite the Manual setting. The only exceptions are the pre-“ce” release configurations.
  • Automatic to Latest : The Application is automatically updated to the latest version the moment the update is invoked by the landlord.
  • Automatic to Latest -1 : The Application is automatically updated to the latest -1 version the moment the update is invoked by the landlord.
Message Notification
Message notifications can be configured to send during an application update.

Notifications are not only sent to inform about the update result but also during the process itself. If a step takes longer to complete, a so-called heartbeat message is sent to inform that the process is still running. From and to-email addresses can be specified.

Email From

The email address used as the sender if the Message Notification check box is selected.

Email To

One or more recipient email addresses that receive notifications if the Message Notification check box is selected.

You can specify multiple email addresses, separated by a comma (,) or a semicolon (;).
