Alternative Packaging by Business Partner (whwmd4635m000)

Use this session to view and maintain the alternative packaging and business partner combination for a standard packaging item. You can also use this session to view the alternative package definitions by item, standard package definition, and business partner configurations.

Only one satellite is enabled at a time based on the data specified on the header:

If the Package Definition and the Item are specified, the Alternative Package Definitions by Business Partner (whwmd4136m000) session is enabled.
If the Packaging Item is specified, the Alternative Packaging Items by Business Partner (whwmd4137m000) session is enabled.

Note: This session is displayed only if the Alternative Packaging on Business Partner Level check box is selected in the Warehouse Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session.

Field Information

Business Partner: The code of the business partner for whom the alternative packaging is set up.
Item: The code of the item. The package definition is linked to the item.
Note: This field is enabled and you must specify a value if the Packaging Item is not specified.
Package Definition: The code of the standard package definition for which alternatives are defined.
Note: This field is enabled and a value must be specified if a value is specified in the Item field.
Quantity: The number of items that are packed using one set of the package definition.
Note: The value in this field is defaulted from the Item - Package Definitions (whwmd4130m000) session if Package Definition field is specified.
Inventory Unit
Validated: Indicates if the handling unit template of the package definition is validated.
Note: The value in this field is defaulted from the Item - Package Definitions (whwmd4130m000) session if Package Definition field is specified.
Packaging Item: The code of the standard packaging item for which alternative packaging items are maintained. Packaging items such as boxes and pallets are used to hold and ship goods.
Note: This field is enabled and you must specify a value if the Item is not specified.
