Alternative Packaging Items by Business Partner (whwmd4137m000)
Use this session to view and maintain the packaging items that can be used as an alternative for the standard packaging item, for a business partner.
An alternative packaging item is used when the standard packaging item is replaced without changing the packaging structure. For example, a plastic box can be replaced with a cardboard box, provided the dimensions and the packed quantities remain the same.

This session is displayed as a satellite session in the Alternative Packaging by Business Partner (whwmd4635m000) session.
- This session is displayed only if the Alternative Packaging on Business Partner Level check box is selected in the Warehouse Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session.

Field Information
- Business Partner
- The code of the business partner for whom the alternative packaging is set up.
- Packaging Item
- The code of the standard packaging item for which alternative packaging items are maintained. Packaging items such as, boxes, pallets and crates are used to pack and ship goods.
- Alternative Packaging Item
- The code of the packaging item that can be used as an alternative to the standard packaging item for the business partner. The alternative packaging item is used when the standard packaging item is replaced without changing the packaging structure and the packed quantity.
- Priority
- A priority number that is assigned to the alternative packaging item. A low number signifies a high priority, a high number signifies a low priority. The priority determines the sequence in which the alternatives are displayed when a packaging item is selected.
- Active
- If this check box is selected, the alternative package item is set to active.
- Default option
-
If this check box is selected, the alternative package item is selected by default.
Note:
- You can select only one alternative packaging item as default.
- You can select Default option check box only if Active check box is selected for the alternative packaging item.
