Calculation offices for Job Shop and Assembly

You can use calculation offices to define the department that is used for production order costing and related manufacturing processes. In Job Shop by Site, you can use a dedicated calculation office in addition to the existing costing work center setup.

Calculation office setup

For a production department, fallback calculation office, or production order, you can select one of these department types:

  • A work center with subtype Calculation Office.
  • A work center with subtype Costing, if the Use as Calculation Office check box is selected in the Work Centers (tirou0101m000) session.
Note: 
  • The Costing Work Center as Calculation Office check box in the Production Order Parameters (tisfc0100s000) session determines if costing work centers can be selected as calculation offices. If this check box is cleared, only the dedicated calculation offices can be used.
  • If Job Shop by Site is Active in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session, the calculation office is available for the production department. You can then define the operation rate during Job Shop by Site activation.
