Configuring project settings for major check-out

For each PLM project, you can define custom configuration settings for Major Check-Out operations. You can use these rules to manage major check-out operation separately from standard check-out processes.

Major Check-Out settings can be granularly configured across three specific tabs in the Project Configuration (pdadm3101s000) session:

  • Item tab
  • Document tab
  • Folder tab

When the Custom settings for Major Check-Out check box is selected in the Project Configuration (pdadm3101s000) session, for a PLM project::

  • Infor LN automatically identifies the Major Check-Out operation.
  • The parameters from the Major Check-Out configuration tabs are applied instead of the standard check-out settings.

To enable Major Check-Out Settings:

  1. Access the PLM Projects (pdadm3500m000) session.
  2. Select Project Configuration from the References menu. The Project Configuration (pdadm3101s000) session is displayed.
  3. Select or open the target PLM Project.
  4. Select the Custom settings for Major Check-Out checkbox.
  5. Configure the required parameters under each tab:
    • Item Tab: Define item-level checkout behavior during major revisions.
    • Document Tab: Set document attachment, structure, and revision controls for major check-outs.
    • Folder Tab: Configure directory and folder handling during major check-outs.
  6. Click Save.
