Media Layout (lparg9113m000)

Use this session to create and maintain the layout for media defined in the Argentina localization. The media layout defined in this session is used to generate the media file.

Note: This session can be accessed only if the Argentina check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.

This session is displayed as a satellite session in the Media Details (lparg9612m000) session.

Field Information

Media Code

The Media Code for which the layout is defined.

Initial Position

The initial position of the data field in the generated media file.

Length

The length of the field in the media file.

End Pos.

Indicates the end position of the field in the media file.

Note: This value is calculated and displayed using this formula:

Initial Position + Length

Field Type

The type of the field that is added to the file.

Table Field
Fixed
Sequential

Field Name

The name of the field that is displayed in the media file.

Note: This field is enabled only if the Field Type field is set to Table Field.

Fixed Text

The text related to the field that is displayed in the media file.

Note: This field is enabled only if the Field Type field is set to Fixed.

Field Description

The description of the field that is displayed in the media file.

Note:

This value is defaulted from the Description field associated with the Field Name in the Media Tables (lparg9111m000) session, if the Field Type field is set to Table Field.
The value in this field is cleared, and the description can be modified, if the Field Type field is set to Fixed.

Alignment

The alignment of the field displayed in the media file.

Field Mask

The mask that is used for numerical values in the media file.

Note: This is the string format that is used as a field mask in the media file:

‘9’ - Use to reserve a position for a digit. Inserts a 0 if there is no significant digit in that position.
‘Z’ - Use to reserve a position for a digit. Insert a space if there is no significant digit in that position. You can use this both before and after the decimal sign.
‘V’ - Use to indicate the position of the decimal sign. No decimal sign is displayed.
‘D’ - Use to display the decimal sign as defined in the data dictionary.
‘T’ - Displays a thousand signs. The representation of the thousand sign is defined in the data dictionary.
