Import Version Dump (tgbrg1245m000)

Cette session permet:

  • Copy data from one system or company to another system or company.
  • Import translated descriptions and texts.
  • Import a backup of DEM data.
  • Import Industry Process Catalog (IPC) content created using Infor Process Intelligence (IPI).

Importing Version Dumps created with Export Version Dump (tgbrg1235m000

Import files are created with the Exportation des données de version (tgbrg1235m000) session.

If the source version, created with the Exportation des données de version (tgbrg1235m000) session, differs from the version into which you want to import the data (target version), you must select the Importer les éléments de modélisation dans une version différente check box.

During the data import, a check is run whether the version already exists in the target system or company. If the version does not exist you will be asked if the version must be created.

If the import file contains data from derived-from-versions, the file was exported with a selected Inclure les versions précédentes check box in the Exportation des données de version (tgbrg1235m000) session. Consequently, this structure must also exist in the system or company into which the file is imported.

If the import file contains data from derived-from-versions, and this data is imported into a different version than it was originally exported, the DEM data versions are purged into one import version.

If an import file is exported from an older DEM software version the DEM data is automatically converted to the new DEM data format.

When you import a range of business processes, the components and corresponding applications that are used in the business processes are not imported. Use the Importation des données de modèles de composants (tgbrg5256m000) session to import the components and applications. You must first export the components and applications with the Exportation des données de modèles de composants (tgbrg5257m000) session.

If you import a version dump containing applications to which the activities are linked exist on your system, or in your company, you do not have to export and import the applications. If the correct applications are present, but the component and component release are named differently, run the Renommer comp. et codes Version ds activités et appl. auxil. (tgbrg5220m000) session to re-establish the links between the activities and the applications.

If you import LN DEM data you are prompted to specify the LN component to which the ERP session must be linked. This component with applications must be available. If an imported version is protected with a license you must enter the license registration.

If the data in the file is not correct, a log file will be printed with the errors and the line number in the file.

Examples of errors:

  • A reference does not exist
  • A code or description is too long
  • A table field does not exist

Importing Industry Process Catalog (IPC) content created with Infor Process Intelligence (IPI)

This session can import IPC content. The IPC content must be a ZIP file containing all BPMN files of the specific CloudSuite Industry.

Select the Tout activer button to ensure that all content from the IPC ZIP file is imported. Select the Charger le fichier check box to select and upload the IPC ZIP file from the local system.

If the Importer les éléments de modélisation dans une version différente check box is cleared, a new Version code is generated in the format PPPYYYYSSS, where PPP is the prefix of the IPC CloudSuite, YYYY is the current year, and SSS is a sequence number.

IPC content can be exported in these different languages: en-US, nl-NL, fr-FR, de-DE, es-ES, ja-JP, zh-CN. Each language results in a different ZIP file.

To import the IPC content in different languages, first import, for example, the en-US content into a new version. To import the other languages in the same version, select the Importer les éléments de modélisation dans une version différente check box, specify the version in the Importer dans la version field and select the Ecraser check box.

Note:

The Importation des données de version (tgbrg1245m000) session must be started in the language that corresponds to the language of the IPC content:

  • For language nl-NL, use language 1 (Nederlands).
  • For language en-US, use language 2 (English).
  • For language de-DE, use language 3 (German).
  • For language fr-FR, use language 4 (French (France)).
  • For language es-ES, use language 5 (Spanish (Spain)).
  • For language ja-JP, use language j (Japanese).
  • For language zh-CN, use language o (Chinese (Simplified)).

After selecting the IPC ZIP file and clicking the Importer button, the IPC to EM Version Converter dialog starts. This dialog shows this information about the IPC content:

  • IPC CloudSuite – the prefix code of the IPC CloudSuite.
  • IPC Description – the IPC description.
  • IPC ISO Language – the ISO language of the IPC content.
  • Version – the version into which the IPC content will be imported.
  • Version Description – the description of the version into which the IPC will be imported. By default, the IPC Description is used.
  • Activate Version – if this check box is selected, the version will be added to the Version runtime, modèle de projet et phase d'optimisation (tgbrg0105m000) session after the import. The Modèle de projet principal and Valeur par défaut pour les sociétés sans modèle de projet runtime check boxes are automatically selected for the version.
  • Derived-From Version – specify the version from which the new version must be derived, or leave blank if the new version must not be derived from another version.
  • Import User – the LN user that becomes the owner or last change user of the imported components. By default, the current LN user is used.

Click Convert to generate a temporary Version Dump, which is imported afterwards as a regular Version Dump.

The Convert action performs several checks on the IPC content. This can result in errors, warnings, and informational messages. These are logged in the file $BSE/appdata/log/tgbrg/ipc2em/ipc2em.log.
