Cross-dock Order Lines (whinh6110m000)

Use this session to create and maintain cross-dock order lines. For cross-docking, the inbound-order lines keep track of the planned, advised, and actual cross-docked quantities.

Note:

You can only create a cross-dock order line for an inbound order line whose status is one of the following:

Open
Receipt Open
Received
To be Inspected

Field Information

Cross-dock Order

The cross-dock order number.

Cross-dock Order Status

Open: The cross-dock order receives the status Open when it is created.
Planned: The cross-dock order receives the status Planned, when one or more cross-dock order lines have status Approved, and there are no cross-dock order lines with status Advised.
In Process: The cross-dock order receives the status In Process, when one or more cross-dock order lines have status Advised.
Staged: The cross-dock order receives the status Staged, when the actually cross-docked quantity equals the requested cross-dock quantity.
Closed: The cross-dock order receives the status Closed or Canceled, when the outbound order line (BOM) receives the status Shipped. If the actually cross-docked quantity is zero, the cross-dock order receives the status Canceled, otherwise it receives the status Closed.
Canceled: The cross-dock order receives the status Closed or Canceled, when the outbound order line (BOM) receives the status Shipped. If the actually cross-docked quantity is zero, the cross-dock order receives the status Canceled, otherwise it receives the status Closed. See also Cancel Cross-dock Orders (whinh6200m200).

The cross-dock order line number.

Cross-dock Order Line Status

Open: A cross-dock order line receives the status Open when it is created.
Approved: A cross-dock order line receives the status Approved when it is approved.
Advised: A cross-dock order line receives the status Advised, when the corresponding inbound order line quantity is advised (partly) and not put away yet.
Staged: A cross-dock order line receives the status Staged, when the quantity actually cross-docked equals the quantity planned to cross-dock.
Closed: A cross-dock order line receives the status Closed, when the corresponding cross-dock order is closed, and the quantity actually cross-docked for the cross-dock order line is greater than zero.
Canceled: A cross-dock order line receives the status Canceled, when the corresponding cross-dock order is closed or canceled, and the quantity actually cross-docked for the cross-dock order line is zero.

Note: In general, the cross-dock order line status is set by LN. However, the user can also approve, cancel, close, or reopen a cross-dock order.

User

The logon code of the user who created the cross-dock order line.

Outbound Order Line

The order origin of the outbound order line.

Cross-dock orders can be created for the following order origins:

ASC Production
ASC Production (Manual)
EP Distribution
Maintenance Sales (Manual)
Maintenance Work (Manual)
Maintenance Sales
Maintenance Work
Project
Project (Manual)
Sales, except for:
- consignment invoicing
- collect orders
- retro-billed orders
- cost orders

Note:

In addition to the exceptions indicated above, you cannot create cross-dock orders for:

return orders
blanket orders
ship-to type warehouses set up as administrative warehouses. This is because cross-docking is not carried out in administrative warehouses, which only reflect the inventory levels of "real" warehouses in a VMI context. For more information, refer to Vendor managed inventory.

Planned Quantity to Cross-dock in Cross-dock Unit

You can change this quantity as long as the cross-dock order line has status Open.

Unit

The unit that is used for the Planned Quantity to Cross-dock in Cross-dock Unit quantity.

Project Data

Project: The project of the project peg line of the inbound order line.
Element: The element of the project peg line of the inbound order line.
Activity: The activity of the project peg line of the inbound order line.

Quantities In Inventory Unit

Planned Quantity to Cross-dock: The planned quantity, expressed in the inventory unit.
Advised Quantity to Cross-dock: The advised quantity, expressed in the inventory unit.
Cross-docked Quantity: The quantity actually cross-docked, expressed in the inventory unit.
