Generate Inventory Inspections (whinh2211m000)

Use this session to generate inventory inspections.

Inventory inspections are generated for item and warehouse combinations to which these conditions apply:

  • In the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) session, these settings are specified:
    • The Inventory Inspection check box is selected.
    • The value in the Frequency for Inventory Inspection field is greater than 0 (zero).
  • The properties of the item and warehouse combinations match the selection range settings specified in the current session.
  • The calculated due date has passed.

To calculate the due date, the value in the Frequency for Inventory Inspection field in theItem Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) session is added to the value of the Last Inventory Inspection Date field in the Stock Point Inventory (whinr1540m000) session or the Item - Serials and Warehouses (whltc5100m000) session.

For items that match the selection range criteria but whose calculated due date is later than the current date, no inventory inspections are created.

Note: 

The Buy-from Business Partner range is used to select low volume scenario lot-controlled or serialized items originally supplied by specific suppliers.

Non Handling Unit Inventory

If this check box is selected, anonymous inventory, that is, inventory not identified by handling units is inspected.

Handling Unit Inventory

If this check box is selected, inventory identified by handling units is inspected

Handling Unit
Inspect Top or Bottom Level Handling Units

The options for the handling unit level to be inspected.

Allowed values

Inspect Handling Unit Top Levels

Inventory inspections are performed for top level handling units, such as pallets or large containers, and all handling units of the mid and bottom levels contained in them.

Inspect Handling Unit Bottom Levels

Inventory inspections are performed for bottom level handling units.

Rental
Non Rental Inventory
If this check box is selected, inspections are generated for the non rental inventory.
Rental Inventory
If this check box is selected, inventory inspections are generated for the rental inventory.
Options
Force Inventory Inspection

If this check box is selected, inventory inspections are generated regardless of the calculated due date.

Exclude Location Allocated Items

If this check box is selected, items that are location allocated are excluded from inventory inspections.

Planned Inspection Lead Time

The value in this field is used to determine the planned inspection date of the generated inventory inspection lines.

To determine the planned inspection date, the planned inspection lead time is added to the current date. The planned inspection date is used in the due date filters in the Warehouse Inspections (whinh2631m100) session.

Print
Report

If this check box is selected, the generated inventory inspections are printed in a report.

Inspection Lines

If this check box is selected, the inventory inspection lines are included in the report.

Handling Units

If this check box is selected, handling unit IDs are included in the report.

Selection Range
Site

The From and To fields define a range of: sites.

Warehouse

The From and To fields define a range of: warehouses.

Location

The From and To fields define a range of: locations.

Location Rental Owner

The From and To fields define a range of: logistic companies associated with the rental owner of the location.

Rental Owner

The From and To fields define a range of: service offices associated with the rental owner.

Note: This field is displayed and mandatory only if:
  • The Equipment as a Service check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
  • The Item Type is set to Rental Product in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session.
  • The related service office is valid as rental owner.
Location Owner

The From and To fields define a range of: owners of the inventory stored in the location.

Buy-from Business Partner

The From and To fields define a range of: buy-from business partners.

Inventory Date

The From and To fields define a range of: inventory dates.

Storage Zone

The From and To fields define a range of: zones.

Row/Level/Bin

The code of the row in the warehouse in which the location is situated.

coln.f/t

The story (floor or level) within the warehouse where the inventory location is situated.

rack.f/t

The code of the location's bin.

Note: Often a bin number is used as a sequence number for the combination of row and level.
Item Group

The From and To fields define a range of: item groups.

Lot

The From and To fields define a range of: lot codes of the item.

Serial Number

The From and To fields define a range of: serial numbers of the item.

Handling Unit

The From and To fields define a range of: handling units associated with the item.

Last Inventory Inspection Date

The From and To fields define a range of: the dates on which the most recent inventory inspection is performed.

From Item

The From and To fields define a range of: items for which inventory inspections must be generated.
