Rental rates

You can specify these rental rates for the items of the type, Equipment and Rental Product in the Rental Operation Costs Rates (tsmdm0120m000) session:
  • Rental operating cost rate

    The rental operating cost rate is used to calculate the sales cost of the cost lines linked to the rental agreement.

  • Rental intercompany rate

    The rental intercompany rate is used to calculate the cost amount associated with an intercompany trade order with the scenario, Rental.

You can specify these rates for the combination of an item, serialized item group, or service item group and a rental office.

To calculate the sales cost of a cost line linked to a rental agreement or an intercompany trade order, the application searches for the rental operating cost rates or intercompany rates in this sequence:

  1. Item, Serial Number, and Rental Office.
  2. Item and Serial Number.
  3. Item, Installation Group, and Rental Office.
  4. Item and Installation Group.
  5. Item and Rental Office.
  6. Item.
  7. Serialized Item Group, Installation Group, and Rental Office.
  8. Serialized Item Group and Installation Group.
  9. Serialized Item Group and Rental Office.
  10. Serialized Item Group.
  11. Service Item Group, Installation Group, and Rental Office.
  12. Service Item Group and Installation Group.
  13. Service Item Group and Rental Office.

You can use the Simulate Rental Rates (tsmdm0220m000) session to specify an item and view the existing rental rates defined for the item. To access this session, you can use the Simulate Rental Rates option in the Rental Operation Costs Rates (tsmdm0120m000) session
