Rental product

The warehouse location can store the rental inventory only if the Location Type field is set to Pick or Bulk in the Warehouse - Location (whwmd3100s000) session.

The rental owner is the service department that owns the rental product. The Pick or Bulk locations which are defined as rental only can be assigned to a specific Rental Owner in the Warehouse - Location (whwmd3100s000) session.

You must use the Rental Unit Conversion Factors (tsmdm0121m000) session to define and approve the rental unit conversion factors between the base unit for rental for an item, serialized item group, or item group. The rental conversion factors are used to convert rental quantities to other units. These conversion factors are used to determine the sales price unit conversion factor in Pricing.

You can define rental operation cost rates for an item of the type, Rental Product in the Rental Operation Costs Rates (tsmdm0120m000) session. You can also specify the rental operation cost rate by rental office in this session. The rental operation cost rate is used to calculate the standard cost of the item.
