Creating a physical breakdown from a project-breakdown structure

You can only access this session only if the Project (TP) check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000).

  1. Access the Copy Project Breakdown Structure (tscfg2210m200) session.
  2. Specify the project in the Project field.
Note: For the specified project, the value of the Project Package Linked field in the General Projects (tcmcs0552m000) session, must be Project (PCS). If you use free projects, the changes to the project after you have copied the project, are not processed to Service.
  3. Select the origin in the Origin Structure field. Possible values:
    Activity Structure
The leading plan is used (refer to the Planning tab in the Projects (tppdm6100m000) session). The activity structure, as displayed in the Activities (tppss2100m000) session, is used as input for the physical breakdown. The application creates a serialized item for each activity. The top element is used as the top-serialized item in the physical breakdown. The serial number of the serialized item is created according to the mask.
  4. Specify the code of the Installation group that the newly-created physical breakdown belongs to in the Installation Group field. The application creates an installation in the Installations (tsbsc1110m100) session that specifies the newly-created top-serialized item. You can specify the default installation group in the Project and in that scenario, this value is automatically defaulted from the project.
