Calculation of project data in the Project 360 session

The tiles in the Project 360 (tppdm6500m100) session display the data for the main project and the subprojects of the selected project, by default.

After you build the actual cost control for a specific project or a range of projects in the Build Actual Cost Control (tpppc4803m000) session, the project related data is displayed in the Budgeted Project Costs (tpptc3540m000) and Control by Project (tpppc4510m000) sessions.

Calculation of project data for main project and subprojects

The application defaults the budget amount and the budget hours for a project in the Project 360 (tppdm6500m100) session from the Budgeted Project Costs (tpptc3540m000) session if:
  • The budget cost analysis (BCA) code is specified for the selected project in the Project (tppdm6600m400) session.
  • The Main Project Total Cost Indicator field set to Main Project Total in the Budgeted Project Costs (tpptc3540m000) session.
Note: 
  • If the BCA code is not specified, the application considers the latest budget cost analysis code used for the project in the Budget Cost Analysis Versions (tpptc3500m000) session.
  • If the Main Project Budgeting check box is selected in the Project (tppdm6600m400) session, the application defaults the project data with the specified BCA code and the Main Project Total Cost Indicator field set to Project Total.

The application defaults the Actual Number Hours and the Forecast Hours for a project in the Project 360 (tppdm6500m100) session from the Control by Project/Cost Type (tpppc4511m000) session. The application defaults the data for the project with the Main Project Total Cost Indicator field set to Main Project Total.

The values specified for a project in the Control by Project (tpppc4510m000) session are defaulted to these tiles in the Project 360 (tppdm6500m100) session:
  • Earned Value
  • Costs
  • Cost Forecast
  • Variance at Completion
  • Paid to Supplier
  • Due to Supplier
  • Received from Customer
  • Customer Outstanding
  • Revenues
  • Forecast Extra Revenues
  • Received From Customer
  • Total Revenues
  • Commitments
  • Total Costs
  • Costs Variance
Note: The Main Project Total Cost Indicator field must be set to Main Project Total for the project in the Control by Project (tpppc4510m000) session.

Calculation of project data for main projects only

You can use the Main Project Values only option from the Views menu in the Project 360 (tppdm6500m100) session to view the data of a project with the Hierarchy Type field set to Main Project. For the selected project, the data on the tiles is displayed only for the main project, and not for subprojects.

If the Main Project Values only option is selected:
  • The budget amount and budget hours are defaulted to the Project 360 (tppdm6500m100) session from the Budgeted Project Costs (tpptc3540m000) session. The application defaults this data:
    • Based on the BCA code specified for the project.
    • If the Main Project Total Cost Indicator field is set to Project Total.
  • The Actual Number Hours and Forecast Hours are defaulted to the Project 360 (tppdm6500m100) from the Control by Project/Cost Type (tpppc4511m000) session. The application defaults the project data with the Main Project Total Cost Indicator field set to Project Total.
  • The values specified for a project in the Control by Project (tpppc4510m000) session are defaulted to these tiles in the Project 360 (tppdm6500m100) session:
