Using holdback for AFP
- Access the Contract Lines (tpctm1110m000) session to create a contract line.
- Set the Holdback field set to All Invoices.
- Specify a holdback percentage.
- Create a scope document for the contract line. For more information, see Creating Scope Document.
- Create an AFP for the scope document. For more information, see Generating Application for Payment from scope document line. The holdback percentage is defaulted to the AFP line in the Application for Payment Lines (tpppc6131m000) session, based on which the Certified Holdback Amount is calculated.
- Select the Customer Assessment Complete check box in the Application for Payment (tpppc6630m000) session. You can modify the Certified Holdback Amount for the linked AFP lines.
Note: The Certified Holdback Amount must be less than or equal to the Certified Amount specified in the Application for Payment Lines (tpppc6131m000) session.
- Set the status of the AFP to Certified. For more information, see Certifying Application for Payment.
- Select the Create Installment for Applications for Payment option from the Actions menu in the Application for Payment (tpppc6630m000) session to create installments for the AFP. The installments are created in the Installments (tppin4151m000) session, wherein you can view the holdback amount for each installment line.
- Approve and transfer the installments to Invoicing in the Installments (tppin4151m000) session. The corresponding holdback lines are generated in the Holdback (tppin4140m100) session.
