Defining a Contract

A contract refers to the overall agreement with a business partner. The data is defined for a con-tract is defaulted to the contract line. You can use the Contract (tpctm1600m000) session to create a contract. In this session, you can define the information related to the sold-to business partner, contract manager, contract type, and invoicing.

You can also create a contract from a bid. If a project bid is accepted by the customer, you can use the Convert Bid to Contract (tpest3200m000) session to convert the project bid into a project contract. The bid number is defaulted in the Contract Lines (tpctm1110m000) session. The Bid Status is set to Contract Award in the Bid (tpest3600m000) session. You can create only a contract and the related contract lines from a bid.

Note: A contract, contract line, or both, is created for the selected bid, only if the Bid Status is set to Accepted.
