Using performance measurement for bottom up budget

The performance measurement data of a project enables you to track the progress and monitor the performance of a project. You can also plan for a project based on this data. You can determine the planned value and the earned value of the project by generating the performance measurement data for a bottom up budget.

  1. Generate the budget cost analysis for a project with a bottom up budget type, in the Generate Time-Phased Budget Cost Analysis (tpptc3211m000) session. The budget cost analysis must be generated before you can generate performance measurement data. The budget cost analysis data of the project is displayed in the Project Budget by Period (tpptc3111m000) session, wherein you can view the budget for each activity by cost period and cost type.
  2. Access the Performance Measurement Activity (tpppc5540m000) session.

  4. Set the Budget Type field to Bottom Up.
  5. Specify the performance measurement generate code in the Generate Code field.
  6. Select the Planned Value and Earned Value check boxes.
  7. Click Generate. The performance measurement data for the project is displayed in the Performance Measurement Activity (tpppc5540m000) session, wherein you can view the planned value and the earned value for each activity against the cost period.
