Defining and Modifying Engineering Item

To modify an existing item, double-click it. To define a new item, click the Insert button. You can delete items with the Delete button.

You cannot delete an E-item if the E-item is:

  • A component in an EBOM.
  • Recorded in the E-Item by MBC (tiedm3122m000) session.
  • Recorded in the Include/Exclude E-Items (tiedm3121m000) session.

If you delete an E-item, you also delete the following data of that E-item:

  • Relationships between E-items and items defined in the Engineering Item - Item Relationship (tiedm1101m000) session.
  • EBOMs
  • Copy data of EBOMs
  • Revisions

You can start the following sessions from the appropriate menu:

  • Engineering Item Revision (tiedm1100m000)
  • Reference Designators by Engineering Item (tiedm0120m000)
