Mass change on Job Shop Routing
Mass changes in routing are caused by changes on the shop floor. A change note is created to accommodate the changes ranging from a change in the lay-out of the shop floor, or changes in the production process, or in logistics, and so on. A change notes accompanies a change for a series of objects such as routings.
These are few scenarios for mass change in job shop routing:
- On the shop floor, a work center is replaced by a new work center (on the same site)
- On the shop floor, a work center is refitted with a different type of machines.
- On the shop floor, a machine is replaced by a 30% faster successor.
- Due to an additional labor resource, the setup time is 25% less.
- Due to a learning curve, the cycle time drops with 10%.
- Due to logistical changes, the queue, move, wait, or transfer batch change.
