Return inventory
Return received goods
The country of origin of the returned items must be the same as the country of origin of the received items.
LN provides the consumption details based on the tracking receipt details, if possible. In case of unlinked returns, the standard ITU consumption selection process is performed.
Returning the items impacts only the quantity of consumed goods in the inventory tracking unit (ITU). The return of goods is a consumption, resulting in a decrease of the received quantity. You can use the ITU receipt to verify that the return quantities match the ITU consumption.
Return shipped goods
If the goods are returned from a customer after an ITU consumption, the concept data of the received items must match the concept data, such as the country of origin, of the items when issued.
You can link the returned goods to the same ITU used for issuing the goods if these conditions apply:
- The inventory tracking unit (ITU) data is not archived.
- The return order is linked to an original order.
If there are multiple countries of origin, the countries of origin for returned items must match the countries of origin of the consumed items. If the data is not found, upon receiving the inventory you must specify the country of origin again.
