Lots and serials in inventory
For low volume, that is, in-inventory lot-controlled and serialized items, you can specify the countries of origin by lot quantity or serial number in the Details tab of these sessions:
- Receipt Line (tcitu2600m100)
- Inbound Advice (tcitu2600m200)
- Inbound Inspection (tcitu2600m300)
- Inbound Advice from Inspection (tcitu2100m400)
To specify a different country of origin by lot or serial, complete these steps:
- In the Details tab of any of the above sessions, select a lot and select from the appropriate menu.
- In the Receipt Details for Inbound Advice from Receipt (tcitu2115m200) session, specify the new country of origin and the quantity of the items to which the new country of origin applies.
- Click
The newly split-off country of origin and the quantity of the lot are displayed in the Details section. Also, a new inventory tracking receipt is created for this country of origin and lot quantity.
The new inventory tracking receipt is displayed in the Receipts tab of any of the above sessions.

Inspection results
If you used the lot, you must specify the inspection results for the lot quantities of the newly split-off countries of origin.
command to specify multiple countries of origin for aThis is done by specifying the approved, rejected, destroyed, or scrapped quantities for the lot in the Details tab of the Inbound Inspection (tcitu2600m300) session. Alternatively, you can select the line and start the Inventory Tracking Receipt Details (tcitu2115m000) session to specify the inspection results.
Lot 0001 and Lot 0002 are present in the Details tab of the Inbound Inspection (tcitu2600m300) session.
Lot 0001 quantity 50. 40 approved, and 10 rejected.
Lot 0002 quantity 50. 47 approved, and 3 rejected.
The country of origin specified earlier is USA. During inspection, it turns out that 10 approved and 5 rejected items of lot 0001 have country of origin UK.
To specify the additional country of origin and the inspection results, complete these steps:
- In the Details tab of the Inbound Inspection (tcitu2600m300) session, select lot 0001.
- On the appropriate menu, select Split.
- In the Receipt Details for Inbound Advice from Receipt (tcitu2115m200) session, specify country of origin UK and quantity 15.
- Click Split and Close.
- In the Details tab of the Inbound Inspection (tcitu2600m300) session, select the new line for lot 0001 and quantity 15.
- Specify 10 approved and 5 rejected.
To specify a different country of origin for a serialized item, select the serialized item in the Details tab of the Inbound Inspection (tcitu2600m300) session and use the command to change the country of origin.

The
and commands are only available if no inspection results have been specified yet for the inspection. Therefore, additional countries of origin must be added before specifying the inspection results. -
The inspection results specified for the inspection line(s) are automatically updated to the related inventory tracking details. But this is not done the other way round.
The inspection results specified in the inventory tracking details are NOT updated back to the inspection line(s).
Therefore, you must only specify inspection results in the inventory tracking receipt details to manually align the inspection results with the inspection results specified for the inspection line.
Lots and serials not in inventory
For high volume, that is, lot-controlled and serialized items not in inventory, the lot and serial numbers are not registered in the inventory.
Therefore, these are not used in inventory tracking and not registered in the inventory tracking receipts, inventory tracking units, or inventory tracking consumptions.
Changing the countries of origin and specifying the inspection results is done in much the same way as for items that are not serialized or lot-controlled.
