Create or update inventory tracking units in the receipt process
If the inventory tracking data and the country of origin matches an existing inventory tracking unit, this inventory tracking unit is updated. If this data does not match, a new inventory tracking unit is created. An inventory tracking unit can thus be related to multiple inventory tracking receipts.
The inventory that is put away is added to the available quantity of the inventory tracking unit. If the inventory tracking unit is updated from multiple inventory tracking receipts, the received quantities from the receipts is added to the available quantity of the inventory tracking unit.
Received quantity – (to be consumed quantity + consumed quantity).
Inbound inspection results
The approved quantities are added to the available quantities in the inventory tracking unit.
In case of adjustments, the rejected quantities are registered as consumed quantities to the inventory tracking unit.
For quarantined items, the disposition determines how these items are registered in the inventory tracking unit.
Items with disposition Use As Is or No Fault Found are put away in inventory and added to the available quantity of the inventory tracking unit.
Scrapped, reworked, reclassified, and returned items are registered as consumed quantities in the inventory tracking unit. For reclassified items, after the inbound transfer line is received, the received quantities are added to the available quantity in the inventory tracking unit.
