Inbound advice
When the inbound advice is created, select appropriate menu of the Inbound Advice (whinh3525m000) session to start the Inbound Advice from Receipt (tcitu2100m200) session.
on theIn this session, you can change the country of origin or to add other countries of origin to the advised items, if required.
To change the country of origin, specify the appropriate country of origin in the Actual Country of Origin field inInbound Advice from Receipt (tcitu2100m200) session.
If the advised items have multiple countries of origin, you must create a separate inventory tracking receipt for each country of origin.
Creating multiple inventory tracking receipts must be done before the inbound advice is put away.
To create multiple inventory tracking receipts, complete these steps:
- In the Inbound Advice from Receipt (tcitu2100m200) session, click Details.
- In the Inbound Advice (tcitu2600m200) details session, select the inventory tracking receipt in the Receipts tab and click .
- In the Receipt Details for Inbound Advice from Receipt (tcitu2115m200) session, specify the new country of origin and the quantity of the items to which the new country of origin applies.
- Click Inbound Advice (tcitu2600m200) details session. and click Close. The newly split-off inventory tracking receipt is displayed in the Receipts tab of the
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 to specify other countries of origin as needed.
Now you can put away the inbound advice in the Inbound Advice (whinh3525m000) session.
If inbound inspections apply to the items, the inbound advice is put away to an inspection location. See Inbound inspection for information about handling countries of origin for inbound inspections.
If inbound inspections do not apply to the items, the inbound advice is put away to a pick or a bulk location.
When the inventory is put away to a pick or a bulk location, an inventory tracking unit is created or updated for each inventory tracking receipt.
In each inventory tracking unit, the received quantities are displayed as available quantities for consumption. See Create or update inventory tracking units in the receipt process for details.
