Creating an Expression of Interest

The existing business partners (suppliers) can initiate the Expression of Interest (EOI) from the Portal. This is required when new capabilities or service trades are added or acquired by the business partner.

To create an EOI from the Portal

  1. Access the Enterprise Collaboration Portal.
  2. Select the business partner from the Profiles menu.
  3. Click the Details icon. The details of the business partner are displayed.
  4. Click the Create EOI option from the Expression of interest section. The Expression of interest page is displayed.
    Note: This option is displayed for a business partner only if:
    • The status of the existing EOI is set to a value other than Created, or Under Review.
    • The status of the existing onboarding application is set to Approved or Declined.
    • An active change request is not in progress.
    • Documents attached to the business partner are not expired.
  5. Specify this information:
    Nature of supply type
    The type of business provided by the supplier. Possible values:
    • Material Supply
    • Equipment Supply
    • Subcontracting
    • Industry Consultancy
    • Agency Labor
    • Utilities Supply
    • Pre-fabrication/Manufacturing
    • Installation
    • Commissioning
    • ENgineering Services
    Service Trade
    The code of the service trade for the selected nature of supply.
    Note: The combination of Nature of Supply and Service Trade must be unique.
    Subcontractor name
    The name of the subcontractor.
    Note: This value is defaulted from the business partner name.
    Main country of operation
    The country where the subcontractor conducts the business.
    State
    The state where the subcontractor conducts the business.
    First Name
    The first name of the subcontractor.
    E-mail address
    The email address of the subcontractor.
  6. Select the Add this expression of interest for a new subcontractor/supplier check box to create a new business partner after the approval of the onboarding application.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Submit. The EOI is submitted to the customer for review in the Infor LN, and an ID for the onboarding application is generated.
    The EOI initiated from the Portal is submitted to LN for a response. This EOI is used by the customer to create an onboarding application and assign the application to the subcontractor.
