Validating data during sales contract activation
When a Sales Contract is activated in Infor LN, a Contract BOD (Business Object Document) is generated and sent to the Automotive Exchange – Release Management system. This validation process helps in identifying the missing or incorrect information. Consequently, the chances of BOD rejections are reduced, and the efficiency of the contract activation and data exchange process is improved.
To enable validation of a contract during the contract activation process, you must select the Validate Contract check box in the Sales Contract Parameters (tdsls0100s300) session. You can also define this setting for a sales office in the Sales Offices (tdsls0512m000) session.
When a new sales contract is created in the Sales Contracts (tdsls3500m000) session, the application defaults the Validate Contract check box setting from the Sales Offices (tdsls0512m000) session, if defines. Else, this setting is defaulted from the Sales Contract Parameters (tdsls0100s300) session. However, you can modify this setting for a sales contract.
