MPS View (plaps8005m000)
Use this session to view the master plan based on the demand plan (constrained or unconstrained), the supply plan (constrained or unconstrained), and the projected inventory balances.
Unconstrained data refers to due dates or recommended dates and constrained data refers to planned dates calculated by the planning engine. MPS view enables you to view demand and supply for an item over time in terms of fully unconstrained, partly constrained, and fully constrained data. This session helps you identify any cases of insufficient supply. You can view a detailed analysis of supply/demand imbalances, projected inventory status, and ATP/CTP quantities.
MPS View - Filters
The items are displayed in a tree structure, categorized by site and warehouse. You can select an item to view the projected inventory balance and target inventory in the quantity chart.
MPS View – Graph
The plotting area consists of two axes. The vertical axis indicates the quantity of an item, while the horizontal axis displays the date planned for the order's delivery. You can view the projected inventory balance and the target inventory of an item by hovering over the line in the graph.
MPS View – Grid
The grid displays a time-phased view of forecasts, customer orders, dependent demands, supply orders, projected inventory, and ATP. If the quantity for the Projected Inventory Balance is highlighted in yellow, the inventory is planned to be below the target inventory for the specific date. If the quantity for the Projected Inventory Balance is highlighted in red, the inventory is negative, and the negative quantity is the quantity required to meet the demand.
MPS View – Options
You can use the MPS View Options (plaps0185m000) session to define the default settings for the scenario, date range, and the time period for which the data is displayed in this session. You can also select the constraint mode, based on which the master plan is displayed.
