Automatic creation of Supplying Relationships

The supplying relationship can be automatically created during the item creation process. The process includes the creation of the global item data, the item sub-entities data, the item by site data, the item sub-entities by site data, the item planning data, the item data by warehouse and the item costing data.

The order of the item creation steps is shown in the below picture.

The Supplying Relationship process is created immediately after the creation of the item planning data.

Supplying Relationship is created in these scenarios:

• The created plan item is considered as the receiving plan item.
  Note: 

  • This is applicable only if the Default Supply Source of the created Plan Item is set to Distribution (i.e. the Defaults Supply Source of its ordering site).
  • For each combination of Supplying Company and Supplying Cluster, the Item Supplying Relationship Defaults exists.
• The created plan item considered as the supplying plan item.
  Note: A supplying relationship is created for each plan item for which:

  • The Default Supply Source is set to Distribution.
  • The item code is same as the created plan item.
  • The Item Supplying Relationship Defaults exist.
