Item Supplying Relationship Defaults
A supplying relationship defines a distribution relationship to replenish an item from one to another planning cluster. An item can have multiple relationships. Defaults are required to be able to predefine relationships for an item group.
You can define item defaults for supplying relationships using the Item Planning Defaults (cprpd1610m000) session. When a plan item is created, the defaults are used to create the item supplying relationships for the plan item.
- You can define the Item Supplying Relationship Defaults using the Item Supplying Relationship Defaults (cprpd7132m000) session.
- The Supplying Relationships (cprpd7130m000) session is renamed to Supplying Relationships (old) and is used as an archive for relationships used before the parameter is activated.
The Item Supplying Relationship Defaults can be defined for the combination of Item Type, Item Group, Receiving Cluster. Multiple relationships can be defined, one for each Supplying Cluster. The Item Type must be either Product or Generic. The Planning Cluster from the Item Planning Defaults is considered as the Receiving Cluster. However, these are a list of limitations when defining Item supplying relationship defaults:
- If the Item Type is Generic, then the Supplying Company isn’t allowed to be different from the current company as inter-company generic items are not allowed.
- If the Supplying Company equals the current company, then the Supplying Cluster cannot equal the Planning/Receiving Cluster.
- The added Supplying Company and Supplying Cluster must not result in a loop during the plan item creation process.
