Update set

An Update Set refers to a collection of sources that were modified as part of a software change, such as a bug fix or a customization. Each source in the Update Set exists in two versions:

  • The original version, representing the unmodified source.
  • The modified version, which includes the changes.

To use CMT for applying modifications to a third version, both the original and modified versions are saved. These two versions serve as the basis for transferring the modifications to the third version.

Before initiating the actual merge, it is essential to store both the original and modified versions. These sessions are required in this process:

  • Maintenance Versions (ttcmt1100m000)
  • Merge Code by User (ttcmt1101m000)
  • Update Sets (ttcmt1110m000)
  • Connect Scripts to Update Set (ttcmt1210m000)
  • Update Script using Update Set (ttcmt1220m000)
  • Replicate Maintenance Versions (ttcmt1200m000)
