Example scenario with identity switching

Your organization uses 20 machines that send requests to LN.

You use an authorized app and you have downloaded the credentials for one service account user. In the Download Credentials dialog box, you have left the Full name field blank. Therefore, the LN user svc_ln is used as service account to send requests to LN.

You want to perform traceability and accountability for the different machines. Therefore, in LN, all requests sent by a machine must use the API identity of that machine, instead of the API identity of the service user.

To achieve this, you have specified these configuration settings:

• Configuration settings for the machines in LN (API identities).
• Configuration settings for the service account user in LN.
• Configuration settings in the machines (service account + machine identity).
