Performing post-approval steps

The approval only provides formal access to the services. The services are not yet ready-to-use. In other words, any requests issued on these services will fail.

After you received approval for access and consumption of the REST APIs, you may need to perform additional steps, for example:

• Perform additional configuration steps.
• Enable application features.
• Prepare companies.

The additional steps you must perform can be different for each API.

For example, for a particular API, these configuration tasks might be required:

• The Job Shop by Site parameter must be set to Active in the company data.
• Soft-delete definitions must be added to tables.
• Table timestamps must be added to tables.

Other APIs may require different configuration tasks.

After setting up the configuration, you can activate the services to make them available.
