Setting up the development environment

  1. Generate the development environment
    1. Open a browser and start the LN application ( LN UI).
    2. Start the Extensions (ttext1500m000) session.

      A development environment is now automatically generated. You do not have to manually create a development environment in the Project Server perspective of LN Studio.

  2. Verify the development environment was generated successfully
    1. Start LN Studio.
    2. Open the Project Server perspective. Select Window > Perspective > Open Perspective > Project Server.
    3. A browser dialog box with a login screen is displayed. This dialog box is not displayed if you have logged in earlier in the same LN Studio. Specify your credentials for accessing the cloud. On the next Request for Approval dialog box, click Allow.
    4. In the Application Explorer view on the right, a development environment named “EXT” is displayed. Expand the “EXT” node by clicking on the > in front of it.
    5. Expand the Applications node. You are prompted to create the required Administrator connection. Click Yes.
    6. In the Configure Connection point wizard, select Share connection. In the Shared Connectionpoint list, select ProjectServer. Click Finish.
    7. After the Administrator connection has been configured, the Applications node is expanded to show an application with a name such as “EXT1052002”.
    8. Right-click the application and select Properties.
    9. In the Application properties dialog box, verify that the Release is filled. Verify that the Packages table only contains the “LN Extensions” (tx) package. Click Cancel to close the dialog box.
    10. In the Software Project Explorer view on the left, a software project with the same name as the application is displayed. Right-click this project and select Properties.
    11. In the Project properties dialog box, verify that the Status is “Active”. Verify that the Development Environment and Application match the values in the Application Explorer. Click Cancel to close the dialog box.
