Overview

Application Configuration Management is a suite-wide tooling for creating local packages that contain configuration data, also called configuration object instances. The local packages are used to move configuration data between tenants that belong to a customer.

The configuration options of LN are divided into functional packages, configuration object sets, and configuration objects. Configuration of a functional package includes one or more configuration object sets. A configuration object set includes one or more configuration objects. Examples of functional packages are COMMON and FINANCE. Within the COMMON functional package, configuration object sets are available for, for example, Addresses, Item Classifications, and Tax Configuration.

When creating a local package, one or more configuration object sets are selected.

Note:  Infor LN provides a standard definition of configuration object sets and configuration objects. We strongly recommend using this standard definition.

To import this standard definition:

  1. Start the Configuration Object Sets (ttdcm0550m000) session.
  2. On the Actions menu, select Import default LN Configuration Data Definition.
  3. In the Import default LN Configuration Data Definition (ttdcm0203m000) session, select the Import Configuration Exports, Import Configuration Objects, and Import Configuration Object Sets check boxes.
  4. Click Import.

The Infor LN Configuration Data Management sessions can be found in the Infor LN menu under Tools > Application Configuration > Configuration Data Management.

Before creating a local package, one or more of the available Infor LN companies must be specified as configuration data company in the Configuration Data Companies (ttdcm0505m000) session. Note that company 0000 is a configuration data company specific to LN Tools configuration data.
