Role Assignments (dmcom0135m000)
Use this session to assign actions to a specific role. For example, engineer, developer, technical writer, manager, and so on.
To assign an additional action to a user role, click
on the menu.To limit the authorization of a role with respect to the actions that can be performed, you can set the authorizations against a query. Users with the specified authorization can perform the action only if the query conditions are satisfied.
- Role

The role to which an action is assigned.
- Object

The object identifier. Click the browse arrow and select the object for which you want to add an action assignment from the Objects (dmsys1511m000) session.
- Action
-
The action linked to the object. Click the browse arrow to select the action from the Actions (dmcom0530m000) session. You can either assign an existing action or create a new action.
- Query

The query ID. Click the browse arrow to start the Query (dmqry0501m000) session. The user authorizations for a role are set against the query specified in this field. Example, if a query retrieves tasks with the status Created, the user only works on the tasks that have the status Created.
