Object Masks (dmcom0122s000)
Use this session to view and maintain the properties of the object mask associated with a mask code.
You can specify a default mask configuration for the object code. Use the pound sign (#) to represent a digit, and an asterisk to represent a letter.

The object attribute with which the mask code is associated.
- Mask Code

The mask code for the object type. This code is a descriptive title for the object type mask.
- Description

The description for the object mask.
- Attribute

The object attribute table with which the mask code is associated. You can generate multiple mask codes for a single object attribute.
- Mask Depend On

The object attribute of the main table on which object mask depends. This field is not mandatory.
- Value Depend On

The object attribute of the main table on which the value of object mask depends. This field is not mandatory.
- Default Value
-
The default value field for the object mask.
The value must comprised of both fixed and generated characters. For generated characters, you must use a pound sign (#) to represent a digit, and an asterisk to represent a letter.
- Active
-
If this check box is selected, the object mask is active, otherwise, the object mask is inactive.
Note: You can define multiple masks for an object. This field enables you to activate the selected mask and use the active mask to generate value for a new instance of the object. If no mask is defined as active, the system, by default, picks up the first defined mask to generate values.
