Child Documents (pdpdm2101m000)

Use session to view and maintain the child documents linked to the PLM document.
Note: 
  • The xcad fields are customized and optional. The fields can be used to specify file names or information about objects.
  • You can use the Select Source option to select the child document that have to be linked to another document.
  • You can use the Link Selected option to link the documents (selected using the Select Source option) as children to the selected parent document.

The revision number of the parent document.

The description or name of the code.

The status of the document.

The name of the user who creates the document.

The date on which document is created.

Child Document

The code of the child document.

Child Revision

The revision number of the linked child document.

The status of the child document.

Document Type

The characteristics of the child document.

Life Cycle

The stage at which the document is, in the production life cycle. This is used to track the document through the various phases (from design to production).

The date from which the effectivity of the child document is applicable.

Effective To

The date up to which the effectivity of the child document is applicable. The date is set automatically when a new revision of the document is released.

The level of security access provided to the user.

PLM Project

The PLM project in which the child document is created. The PLM administrator assigns users to the specific projects based on the authorization.

Description

The description or name of the code.

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

xcad3

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

xcad5

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

Approval Date

The date on which the child document is released.

Created By

The log in ID of the user who creates the child document.

Created By

The name of the user who creates the child document.

Created On

The date on which the child document is created.

Previous Revision

The alpha numeric code of the revision of the child document.

Derived From

The original document from which this child document is copied.

Category

This field allows you to manage document category related details such as, Category ID, Category Name and details of the Category attributes for the selected child document.

Category Name

The classification category name or subcategory for the child document.

Originating App

The application using which the child document is created.

Business Process

The code of the business process for which the child document is created.

Cage Code

A unique Commercial and Government Entity Code or CAGE Code assigned to suppliers associated with various government or defense agencies.

Note: By default this field is set to Cage Code 1. You cannot modify this value.
Customer Doc No

The ID of the customer document.

Customer Doc Revision

The revision number of the customer document.

No. of ECNs

Total number of ECNs.

Life Cycle

The name used to track the child document through its various stages; from design the production.

The type of child documents.

Manufacturer

The code of the manufacturer ( supplier).

MPN

The Manufacturer Part Number.

BOM Defining

If this check box is selected, the Bill of Material is defined for the item linked to the document.

Object Type

The category used to classify the object.

Is Latest

Indicates the latest revision of the child document.

Locked By

The name of the user who has locked the child document.

Obsolete

Indicates that the child document is no longer in use.
