Stock Point Blocking (whwmd6130m000)
Use this session to block or unblock stock points stored in a warehouse or a warehouse location. You can unblock these stock points by storage unit and reason for blocking.
To block a stock point
- In the current session, click .

Complete one of the following steps:
- To block the entire stock point, select the Fully Blocked check box.
- To partially block the stock point, clear the Fully Blocked check box, then enter the Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit fields. If applicable, specify the package definition.
The blocked quantity cannot be more than the difference between the Inventory in Storage Unit and the Process Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit as specified in the Item - Inventory Structure (whinr1550m000) session.
If the blocked stock point is initiated by Quality and serial numbers are specified for which the storage inspection apply, you can view the blocked serial numbers in the Serial Blocking (whwmd6135m000) session. In this case, you cannot change the blocked serial numbers.
Block low volume serials
If you partially block a stock point that consists of low volume serialized items, you can specify the blocked serialized items in the Serial Blocking (whwmd6135m000) session. To start the Serial Blocking (whwmd6135m000) session, in the current session, select the appropriate line and, from the appropriate menu, click .
Block by Quality
If you create a storage inspection in Quality, LN automatically blocks the stock point or quantity to be inspected. As a result, a record is created in the current session for which the following applies:
- The Created by QM check box is selected.
- The Reason for Blocking is the Reason for Storage Inspection as specified in the Warehouse Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session.
- You cannot manually unblock the stock point by deleting the record. LN unblocks the stock point when the storage inspection is closed.
- When you start to block or unblock, your user name and the current date and time are recorded. LN stores this information to prevent other users from (un)blocking these lots.
- Blocking and unblocking a stock point will affect the inventory data recorded in the Stock Point Inventory (whinr1540m000) session.
Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR)
You can view the NCMR for a specific stock point using the Non-Conformance Implemented check box is selected in the Quality Management Parameters (qmptc0100m000) session.

Unblocking a stock point
To unblock a stock point, select and delete the appropriate line. The setting of the Blocking by User check box in the Warehouse Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session determines the user authorities for unblocking.
To view additional details of a blocked stock point, click the blocked stock point and from the appropriate menu, select to start the Blocked Stock Points (whwmd6550m000) session.
If present for the blocked inventory, you can view and maintain project peg or ownership details in the Blocked Stock Point Details (whwmd6152m000) session, which you can start from the Blocked Stock Points (whwmd6550m000) session.

If this check box is cleared, the stock point is partially blocked. If the stock point is partially blocked, the Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit fields must be specified.
You can also specify the package definition of the stock point to which the block applies. The blocked quantity is less than or equal to the difference between the Inventory in Storage Unit and the Process Blocked Quantity in Storage Unit as specified in the Item - Inventory Structure (whinr1550m000) session.

If this check box is selected, for a partial stock point blocking, the quantity of this blocking is used to update the stock point blocked inventory if this quantity is higher than the quantity of the partial blockings specified immediately before or after this blocking. The highest quantity thus overlaps the lower quantities.
If this check box is cleared, for two or more consecutive partial stock point blockings, the quantities of these blockings are added to update the blocked inventory of the stock point.
