Warehouse - Location - Storage Conditions (whwmd1102m000)
Use this session to link several storage conditions to a location in the warehouse.
Storage conditions can be defined for each:
- Warehouse
- Location within a warehouse
Enter a warehouse for which one or more locations are defined. Then enter a location. If you leave the Location field blank, the storage conditions apply to all locations within the entered warehouse. Then enter the storage conditions of the location(s) in the warehouse.
Storage conditions can also be defined for each item (or item group). Before items are actually stored in a location, LN checks storage conditions for the items and the location to see whether they match.
Field Information
- Warehouse
-
The warehouse for which a storage condition is defined.
Note: Only location-controlled warehouses are allowed. - Location
-
The code of the location. If this field is not filled in, the storage condition applies to the whole warehouse.
Note: You can only define storage conditions for locations of type Pick, Bulk, or Inspection. - Storage Condition
-
The storage condition assigned to the location or the warehouse. The storage condition determines whether particular items will be stored at a location.
- Storage Condition Type
-
This field indicates whether the storage condition must be:
- Present for Item
- Absent for Item
- Common
You must fill in this field for each storage condition assigned to a warehouse or location.
- Mandatory
-
This field indicates whether the following storage conditions must be met:
- Of the locations (or warehouses)
- Of the items (or item groups)
If this check box is selected, LN reports when the storage conditions are not met. You can select another location or warehouse for inbound movement or transfer.
If this check box is cleared, LN also reports in interactive sessions when storage conditions are not met. In this case, however, you can still accept the warehouse or location in the following sessions:
- Inbound Advice (whinh3125s000)
- Warehousing Orders (whinh2100m000)
You can only compare storage conditions if the condition type is Present for Item or Absent for Item. Consequently, you cannot select or clear this check box if the condition type is Common.
Note:- This check box only applies to interactive sessions for inbound advice or inventory transfers, because LN prevents you from deviating from a negative advice in noninteractive sessions.
- In a noninteractive session, a negative advice is always binding after storage conditions have been checked. Regardless of the value of this check box, only positive advice is accepted.
