Inventory Movement (whinr1250m000)
Use this session to move a single stockpoint or handling unit to another location in the same warehouse, without having to use transfer orders. To move multiple stock points or handling units, use the Inventory Movement (Range) (whinr1252m000) session.
- You can only use this session to move stock points or handling units that are available (that is, not blocked or allocated) on locations of type Pick, Bulk or Staging. To move inventory on locations of type Receiving, Inspection and Quarantine, use the standard inbound and outbound procedures.
The destination location must meet the following conditions:
- Location type Pick or Bulk
- Not blocked
- Sufficient capacity
- Suitable storage conditions
- Multiple items/lots (if necessary)
When you move a handling unit, the following applies:
- If the handling unit is a child of another handling unit, the handling unit will be detached from its parent.
- If the handling unit has children, the entire structure below that handling unit will be moved along.
In the Warehouse - Item - Stock Point Transactions (whinr1500m000) session, any transactions that result from using the current session, will have:
- No order or order line number.
- Not Applicable as Order Origin.
