Expand Handling Units (whinh5204m000)

Use this session to expand handling units for cycle counting order lines. If you expand a handling unit, you expose the lower levels or the bottom level handling units of the handling unit. You can specify whether the handling units must be expanded to the next lower level or the bottom level. To enable cycle counting order lines to be generated for the lower or bottom level handling units, you must expand the top level handling units.

Example

Handling unit X has the following structure:


Handling unit	Item	Parent handling unit
X	Empty	Empty
Y	A	X
Z	B	X

Handling unit X is the parent of handling units Y and Z.

If you generate a cycle counting order for top level handling units, this will result in one cycle counting order line for handling unit X. On this order line, you can only indicate whether or not handling unit X is present in the inventory. If you want to count the items A and B of the child handling units Y and Z, you must generate cycle counting order lines for the bottom levels. To enable cycle counting order lines to be generated for the lower or bottom level handling units, you must expand the top level handling units.

Field Information

Order

The cycle counting order for which you want to expand handling units.

Count Number

The count number of the cycle counting order for which you want to expand handling units.

Note: You can initiate a recount in the Cycle Counting Order Lines (whinh5101m000) session or in the Approve Cycle Counting Variances (whinh5801m000) session.

Selection Range

Order Line: The first order line of the range of cycle counting order lines for which you want to expand handling units.
Order Line: The last order line of the range of cycle counting order lines for which you want to expand handling units.
Handling Unit: The first handling unit of the range of handling units that you want to expand.
Handling Unit: The last handling unit of the range of handling units that you want to expand.

Print

Inventories: If this check box is selected, the inventory present in the handling units falling within the selection range is printed.
Serials: If this check box is selected, the serial numbers of the items contained in the handling units falling within the selection range are printed.

Expand

Select Expand to Lower Level to expand the next level of the handling units falling within the selection range.

Select Expand to Bottom Level to expand to the bottom level of the handling units falling within the selection range.
