Inbound Advice (whinh3125s000)
Use this session to to view and maintain inbound advice.
You can create inbound advice if:
- The item is location controlled
- The warehouse has locations
Inbound advice are manually created in this session or generated for the following entities:
- Receipts
- Receipt line BOMs
- Warehouse inspections
- Handling units
When the inbound advice is created or generated for a receipt, LN updates the quantity advised after receipt in the following sessions:
- Inbound Order Lines (whinh2110m000)
- Warehouse Receipt (whinh3512m000)
- Receipt Lines (whinh3112s000)
When the inbound advice is created or generated for an approval, LN updates the quantity advised after inspection in the following sessions:
- Warehouse Inspections Overview (whinh3122m000)
- Receipt Lines (whinh3112s000)
When the quantity advised after receipt is put away, LN updates the received quantity that is put away in the following sessions:
- Inbound Order Lines (whinh2110m000)
- Warehouse Receipt (whinh3512m000)
- Receipt Lines (whinh3112s000)
When the quantity advised after inspection is put away, LN updates the inspected quantity that is put away in the following sessions:
- Inspection Lines (whinh2131m000)

Note: If you select Quarantine ID, and the quarantine inventory contains a handling unit, you must advise the handling unit. - From Handling Unit

The original handling unit in which the goods were received in the warehouse. Sometimes, handling units are split up into several smaller handling units. The split-off smaller handling units are the to-handling units, which are displayed in the To Handling Unit field. If the original handling unit is not split up, the same handling unit is displayed in this field and the To Handling Unit field.
For example, if the original handling unit is a pallet containing several boxes, you can split up the handling unit into the smaller (child) handling units representing the boxes and then create inbound advice for the boxes. This can be useful if there is not enough room in the warehouse to accommodate the entire pallet.

The number of the bill of material (BOM) components that are received for the receipt line for which the inbound advice is created.

The identification number of the inspection for which the inbound advice is created.

The sequence number number of the inspection for which the inbound advice is created.
- Quarantine ID

The number of the quarantine ID for which the inbound advice is created. This number is taken from the Quarantine ID field of the Quarantine Inventory Disposition (whwmd2172m000) session. The inbound advice is used to put away items with disposition Use As Is or No Fault Found.

- To Handling Unit

The handling unit for which the inbound advice is created. If this handling unit was created from another handling unit, the original handling unit from which this handling unit is created is displayed in the From Handling Unit field.
For example, if the original handling unit is a pallet containing several boxes, you can split up the handling unit into the smaller (child) handling units representing the boxes and then create inbound advice for the boxes. This can be useful if there is not enough room in the warehouse to accommodate the entire pallet.

The quantity to be advised expressed in the inventory unit.

If this check box is selected, the advised items are stored in the destination location, inventory records are updated, and the item is available.
- Weight

The total weight of the items for which the inbound advice is created. The location to which the items are advised must have the strength to bear the items.
LN retrieves the weight from the package definition. If no package definition is available for the received items, LN calculates the weight based on the dimension data in the Item - Warehousing (whwmd4600m000) session.
- Volume

The required location volume to store the items.
LN retrieves the volume from the package definition. If no package definition is available for the received items, LN calculates the volume based on the dimension data in the Item - Warehousing (whwmd4600m000) session.
- Floor Space

The required location floor space to store the items.
LN retrieves the floor space from the package definition. If no package definition is available for the received items, LN calculates the floor space based on the dimension data in the Item - Warehousing (whwmd4600m000) session.
