Perform Slow-Moving Analysis (whina6220m000)
Use this session to perform the slow-moving analysis. A slow-moving analysis can be performed by item or by warehouse.
For each item the actual issue is calculated for the past year. The sum of the actual issues over the last year is divided by the inventory on hand. The resulting value (called turnover rate) is compared with the slow-moving percentages recorded in the Inventory Analysis Parameters (whina0100m000) session.
The slow-moving percentage assigned to the item is the first slow-moving percentage recorded in the Inventory Analysis Parameters (whina0100m000) session greater than the slow-moving speed of the item.
In this way, the items are classified into ten categories, for which the best category has the highest ratio actual issue/inventory on hand.

- Consider Demand From
-
Select the start date of the period for which the slow-moving analysis must be performed.
The demand is calculated for the selected date to the current date. The data is analyzed based on the inventory issued by the warehouse for the selected period.
To calculate the future demand you must select the date in the Consider Demand To field.
Default value
The current date minus one year.
- Include Future Demand
-
If this check box is selected, the Consider Demand To field is enabled.
You can perform the slow-moving analysis for the planned or future period.
- Consider Demand To
-
Select the end date of the period for which the demand must be calculated.
The slow-moving analysis can be performed based on the actual and planned usage of the inventory. The future demand is calculated based on the planned inventory transactions and demand forecasting.

If this check box is selected, the results of the slow-moving analysis are printed.
For each item, the print report contains the following data:
- Last Inventory Transaction Date
- Slow-Moving Percentage
- Slow-moving value (= inventory value based on standard cost * slow-moving percentage)
- Fast-moving value (= inventory value based on standard cost - slow-moving value)
The inventory value based on standard cost is calculated as follows:
inventory value based on standard cost = valuation price * inventory on hand
- Suppress Zero Inventory
-
If this check box is selected, slow-moving analysis is not performed for warehouses whose inventory on hand is zero.
The inventory on hand by warehouse is displayed in the Inventory on Hand field of the Warehouse - Item Inventory (whwmd2515m000) session.
