MAUC Correction by Item (whina1231m000)
Use this session to correct moving-average unit cost (MAUC) values for individual items.
You can correct the MAUC values by:
You can replace the incorrect MAUC value with the standard valuation price or the most recent purchase price, and update the MAUC value only if the difference between the existing MAUC value and the newly calculated MAUC value has exceeded the percentage that you can specify in this session.
MAUC values can become incorrect for, for example, the following reasons:
- Incorrect prices entered on purchase orders.
- Receipt of return orders without original order attached.
- Items that are fast-moving become slow-moving. This causes the inventory value to differ too much from the actual market value.
