Assign Trigger Set to Counter Readings (tscfg2201m500)

Use this session to assign maintenance trigger sets to a range of counter readings. LN considers a counter reading to generate a maintenance plan only if a trigger set is linked to the counter reading.

  • Serialized Item (tscfg2600m000) session
  • Counter Readings by Serialized Item (tscfg2101m000) session

If you access this session from the sessions listed above, the fields in the Selection Range group box are not displayed and the trigger set is assigned to the counter readings linked to the selected serialized item(s) or the selected counter reading(s).

Note: If a trigger set is not linked to a counter reading, this information is printed on the information report generated in the Generate Maintenance Plan (tsspc2200m000) session.

All counter readings are selected to assign a trigger set.

Selection of Counter Readings

You can specify the range based on which the counter readings are selected to assign a trigger set.

Owner

The From and To fields define a range of: the sold-to business partners specified for the related serialized item.

In Use-by Business Partner

The From and To fields define a range of: the in use-by business partners specified for the related serialized item.

Service Office

The From and To fields define a range of: the service departments specified for the related serialized item.

Installation Group

The From and To fields define a range of: the installation groups specified for the related serialized item.

Service Item Group

The From and To fields define a range of: the service item groups specified for the related serialized item.

Serialized Item Group

The From and To fields define a range of: the serialized item groups specified for the related serialized item.

Usage Class

The From and To fields define a range of: the usage classes specified for the related serialized item.

Maintenance Scenario

The From and To fields define a range of: the preventive maintenance scenarios specified for the related serialized item.

Trigger Set

The From and To fields define a range of: the maintenance trigger sets specified for the counter reading.

From Item

The From and To fields define a range of: the items.

From Serial Number

The From and To fields define a range of: the serial numbers.

From Counter Reading

The From and To fields define a range of: the counter readings.

Note: When you access the Counter Readings by Serialized Item (tscfg2101m000) session to select the counter readings, LN filters the counter readings based on the other selection ranges, if specified.
Priority

The default search path for the trigger set. LN uses this search path to determine the trigger set for the counter reading. However, you can modify the priority settings to change the default search path. To revert the to the default settings, you can use the Reset option.

By default, LN searches the trigger set in the following order:

  • Priority 1 ( Counter Reading Group)
  • Priority 2 ( Maintenance Scenario Line)
  • Priority 3 ( Trigger Set Rule Book)
  • Priority 4 ( Measurement Type)

If the trigger set is determined using Priority 1, the search process is discontinued. However, if the trigger set is not determined using Priority 1, the trigger set is determined using the next priorities. If one of the priorities is set to Not Applicable, the subsequent priorities are also set to Not Applicable.

Note: Priority 1 cannot be set to Not Applicable, since at least one priority is required to determine the trigger set.

Overwrite

If this check box is selected, LN considers the counter readings for which the trigger set is already specified. The existing trigger set is overwritten by the trigger set determined using the search path specified in this session.

Simulate

If this check box is selected, the change of the trigger set for a counter reading is not saved to the database.

Process Report

If this check box is selected, a process report is generated with the updated values. The modified counter readings along with the previous and new trigger sets are displayed in the report. The search priority, based on which the trigger set is determined, is also printed.

Note: LN selects this check box if the Simulate check box is selected and you cannot modify the setting.
Error Report

If this check box is selected, an error report is generated and the report includes the process failure details.

Information Report

If this check box is selected, an information report is generated.

Note: 

The report displays relevant messages, if:

  • A trigger set cannot be determined using the current priority settings.
  • The trigger set determined using the current priority settings is same as the previous trigger set.
  • Multiple rules are found using one search criterion in which the Trigger Set Rule Book priority is executed.
